Here we have an absolutely delicious afternoon snack: sugar and pine kernel cake. New recipes to surprise our guests don’t often occur to us. The ideas are used over and over again and we always end up making that apple pie or those lovely oatcakes. So today, thanks to a very special person, we’re going to update your sweet repertoire. Eli got in touch with us to tell us she had a blog where she posted her recipes: she and her 6 year-old daughter make desserts, savouries and much more. Go to Marujas Primerizas to find out more.
This time we’ll be using our Organic Rice Drink.
- 350g flour.
- 100g sugar.
- 100g butter.
- 20g powdered yeast.
- 2 eggs.
- 1/2 glass of Amandín Organic Rice Drink.
- 1/2 grated lemon peel.
- 1 cinnamon stick.
- Pine kernels.
Heat the milk with the cinnamon stick in to flavour it.
Mix the flour with the yeast, the sugar, the eggs, the butter, the lemon and the rice drink.
Work it into an even dough. Form the dough into a flat oval shape, brush it with the beaten egg and decorate with pine kernels and sugar.
Leave it to stand for 15 minutes at room temperature and bake it in a hot oven until it’s golden..
