We’re devoting this January to the most complete breakfasts. Because we all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, to get all the energy and vitamins we need for the rest of the day. When we sleep, our body uses nutrients to perform different vital functions like regenerating our tissues, and this is why we use up energy.
The calories and minerals used up in this way need replacing in the best way possible, and here lies the importance of a good breakfast. So we suggest you make yourself some Muesli Bars to make sure you start the day at 100%.
You’ll make the bars using our Organic Spelt Drink. And grab plenty of nuts to make these bars that you’ll be able to take with you wherever you go.
- 450g natural muesli
- 200g flour
- 150g natural yoghurt
- 100g unrefined cane sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoonfuls of honey
- Whatever nuts you like, chopped
- 60ml Amandín Organic Spelt Drink
- 1tablespoonful of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoonful of baking powder
- 30ml oil
Preheat the oven to 175º
Mix the following ingredients together in a bowl: muesli, flour, baking powder, sugar and cinnamon. Stir thoroughly until all the ingredients are evenly mixed.
Next, add the chopped nuts, honey, yoghurt, egg, oil and the Amandín Spelt Drink. Mix well to achieve an even mixture.
Pour the mixture onto a baking tray covered with baking paper to stop it sticking. Spread it evenly so that it is all the same thickness.
Bake well, for between 35 and 45 minutes. After taking it out of the oven, cut it into bars and then leave to cool.
