Another of María José’s recipes: some banana parcels to make your life a little sweeter. This is the second of the GLUTEN-FREE recipes sent to us for the Gluten-Free Delicacies competition that ends today, and which we started thanks to the Associació de Celíacs de Catalunya.

If you fancy surprising someone with some sweet little presents, don’t miss a detail of this easy, delicious recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 puff pastry sheets
  • 4 small ripe bananas
  • 1 egg
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • A little milk
  • Jam to taste
  • Chopped nuts to taste

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180º.

Step 2

Peel the bananas and drizzle the lemon juice over them.

Step 3

Place each banana on a sheet of puff pastry.

Step 4

Mix the egg yolk with the milk and brush on the edges of the pastry sheets.

Step 5

Next, fold in both ends of the dough to make a parcel. Alternatively, you could make a cone. Brush the mixture of egg yolk and milk over the parcels.

Step 6

Put the parcels into the oven (on a tray covered in baking paper) and bake for about 15 minutes.

Step 7

While they’re still hot, brush on the jam and sprinkle on the chopped nuts.
